Tube Phono AmplifierEA-1500
2 boxes (Amp & Power Supply) construction, tube type LCR non-feedback phono-amplifier desclibes your very own concert hall unfolds before your eyes
Product Outline and Concept
Inherits the sound quality of higher-end models, supports balanced inputs and outputs, and is compatible with optical cartridges.
The EA-1500 phono amplifier is engineered to extract the fullest performance from any cartridge, inheriting numerous technologies refined in Phasemation‘s flagship EA-2000 model. Its new dual-chassis design, which separates the power supply from the amplifier, incorporates the latest advancements and supports not only MC and MM cartridges but also optical cartridges. This phono amplifier faithfully reveals the true potential of cartridges from around the world.
Main feature
Best-in-class sound quality, infused with the advanced technologies inherited from the EA-2000.
The EA-1500 incorporates a wealth of expertise accumulated by Phasemation over the years. In particular, it inherits many of the advanced technologies developed for the flagship EA-2000, including the LCR-type circuit, shielded and floating transformer structures, all of which are faithfully reflected in its final sound quality.
A vacuum tube phono amplifier featuring a non-NFB design for high speed and an exceptionally wide dynamic range.
Since the vacuum tube amplifier operates at high voltage, it offers an exceptionally wide dynamic range. Furthermore, by eliminating the use of a negative feedback (NFB) circuit, it achieves an even faster and more responsive sound.
Equipped with a step-up transformer for MC cartridges, featuring newly refined windings which is used PC-TripleC for the wire.
To ensure compatibility with any cartridge, the EA-1500 uses a newly redesigned transformer based on the EA-1200 model, with its windings carefully re-evaluated for this model. The transformer also employs the highly regarded PC-Triple C wire.
Compatible with the latest optical cartridges
While of course having good matching with Phasemation cartridges, the EA-1500 now also supports the recent trend of optical cartridges for the first time. A dedicated power transformer is provided for optical cartridges, ensuring stable power supply without interfering with the phono amplifier. however, this is not a separate power-supplied connection. An XLR input is also equipped for optical cartridges; It is designed so that the unbalanced output of an optical cartridge can be connected using a conventional MC balanced analog cable.
A separate chassis houses a clean power supply section with a three-transformer configuration, delivering high sound quality through a vacuum tube rectifier circuit.
The EA-1500’s power supply is housed in a full-size single chassis, just like the phono amplifier section. Inside, two separate power transformers provide independent power for the left and right channels, giving each channel its own dedicated supply. By using 5U4GB vacuum tubes in the rectifier circuit, the power supply provides clean power without switching noise like typical semiconductor rectifiers, contributing to high-quality sound.
Supports both balanced and unbalanced inputs and outputs.
Equipped with two inputs and one output, the EA-1500 supports both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) connections. High-quality NEUTRIK XLR connectors and gold-plated RCA terminals are used to achieve superior sound performance. Both balanced and unbalanced outputs can be used simultaneously.
The top cover and mechanical components, including the feet, are meticulously selected through careful sound tuning.
Hybrid insulators composed of different metals effectively suppress vibration, reproducing a pure and natural sound. The 1.6 mm thick top cover features a low-dielectric coating that minimizes the influence of magnetic distortion.
High-fidelity sound achieved with gold-plated connectors and relay contacts.
High-quality components with gold-plated connectors and relays are employed to enhance overall sound performance.
